Department stores hold their Spring Grand Sales, and Olive Young typically launches its spring promotion events in April and May.

Summer is when Korea's largest retail sale events take place. June kicks off with the Korea Grand Sale — a government-backed shopping festival that runs through August and offers additional discounts at participating stores on top of regular prices. Olive Young runs its biggest annual sale event in June, with discounts of 20–50% across thousands of products. The heat also drives enormous demand for cooling skincare, UV protection, and summer fashion — meaning shelves are fully stocked with the widest selection of the year.

Fall is Korea's second major shopping season. After the summer heat breaks, Koreans shift to richer skincare routines, heavier moisturizers, and new-season fashion — and the retail industry follows. September and October see new fall/winter collections arriving in force. November is arguably the most important single shopping month of the year: it contains both Black Friday (increasingly observed in Korea) and the Olive Young Year-End Sale, which rivals the June event in scale.

Winter in Korea is cold but vibrant with holiday shopping energy. December is the busiest month for gift purchasing — department stores are packed with beautifully packaged gift sets from every major Korean beauty brand, and limited holiday editions are everywhere. January brings significant clearance sales as stores clear winter inventory. February ushers in Lunar New Year (Seollal), another major gifting occasion, with special Korean traditional gift sets that make unique souvenirs for home.
